Maersk Line is to axe 110 staff in Copenhagen as it kicks off a cost-reduction project.
The Danish conglomerate is reducing the number of employees to 1,015 in the Danish capital as part of its plan to chop 4,000 employees globally.
Alongside the redundancies, Maersk Line said the Commercial and Trade and Marketing functions will be merged into one Commercial department.
Vincent Clerc, who has been with Maersk since 1997, will head the new unit as chief commercial officer.
