Lomar Shipping is making a solid profit selling a 16-year-old boxship.
Shipbrokers reported that the UK shipowner has sold the 2,496-teu Suffolk Trader (built 2002) to Transworld Feeders of the United Arab Emirates for $8.3m, which is slightly in excess of expectations.
Lomar bought the vessel from ER Schiffahrt of Germany as the ER Helgoland for $3.75m in April 2016.
