Liner shipping giants are believed to be in negotiations with Suez Canal Authority (SCA) over a new system of paying tolls in advance.
Maersk Line, CMA CGM and Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) have begun discussions over the new initiative, Ahram Online Sunday reported.
According to the deal under consideration, the companies are likely to pay the tolls for three years in advance in exchange for discounts.
