Australia's Incat has secured a fresh order from Malta-based customer Virtu Ferries for a new 110 metre ro-pax ferry newbuilding worth EUR 75m ($84m).
On delivery the vehicle and passenger unit will become the largest high speed catamaran in the Mediterranean with a service speed up to 38 knots.
Construction of the vessel is due to start in early 2017 with delivery due at the end of 2018 when the ship will go into service between Malta and Italy.
