ICTSI nodded for larger ships at Guayaquil

Contecon de Guayaquil is now able to bring two mega vessels into Ecuador's Port of Guayaquil, making it the country's only terminal able to do so.

The Ecuadorian Ministry of Transport and Public Works has approved CGSA to accommodate ships of up to 305 meters long at two berths.

"With this, CGSA is now the first and only terminal in Ecuador with the capacity to serve two mega vessels at the same time, resulting in higher efficiency and productivity levels," Manila-based International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) said.
