HMM's Asia-US volumes jump 67%

Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) has said its cooperation with the 2M Alliance has boosted Asia to US volumes 67% in April.

Its ships carried 17,932 teu per week, compared to 10,733 teu per week in the same month of 2016.

Asia to US west coast (USWC) volumes soared 73% year-on-year, from 7,604 teu per week to 13,186 teu.

Its market share puts it in fifth place, up from eleventh a year ago on those routes.
