Korean owner Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) is to operate a new loop to the US from Asia.
The Yonhap news agency cited the boxship company as saying it will run seven 6,800-teu ships from Thailand.
This will be part of its operations with 2M alliance partners Maersk Line and MSC.
The new route will take in South-east Asia, China and Korea.
