Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) is teaming up with two domestic rivals on intra-Asian containership services.
The restructured shipowner said it has formed a "consortium" called HMM + K2.
The alliance will cover Japan, China and South East/West Asia trades.
A formal deal will be signed in February and the combination will launch in March.
The lines will automatically renew the agreement for two-year terms.
