Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) is setting up a rail cargo service from Asia to Europe.
Yicai Global reported that the company will use the Trans China Railway (TCR).
HMM said it will send goods from Incheon, Busan and Pyeongtaek in Korea to Qingdao and Rizhao in China via sea for onward transport.
Samsung SDS, LG Electronics, Hyundai Glovis and others have expressed an interest in shipping televisions, fridges, car parts and other cargoes, according to research reports.
