A d’Amico vessel was also attacked and a large Polembros bulker as well as a Greek-connected open-hatch carrier appeared on pirates’ radar in a frantic 24-hour period off Somalia.
Pirates are reportedly onboard the 1,066-teu Albedo (built 1993) a huge distance from the Somali coast with crew said to be out of contact with authorities.
