CMA CGM is said to have chartered an open container vessel in the fleet of Seaspan Corp on a long-term contract.
The French line has hired the 10,000-teu Seaspan Elbe (ex Hanjin Bosal, built 2015).
Brokers report CMA CGM will pay $29,000 per day for the ship over a 36 month period.
Attempts to reach representatives from CMA CGM and Seaspan for comment were unsuccessful at the time of writing.
