Test results published by the CDC show that Carnival Cruise Lines's 2,050-berth Carnival Fascination (built 1994) received a score of 84 on its latest test. Ships must receive more than 85 points out of 100 to pass the inspections.
In another unsatisfactory inspection of a vessel within the umbrella of Miami titan Carnival Corp, Princess Cruises’ 2,590-berth Golden Princess (built 2001) received a score of 81 when inspectors boarded it in February.
