An engine room fire onboard one of its cruiseships last year is likely to blow a further hole in Carnival Corp’s balance sheet as it axes another five voyages.
The Micky Arison-led cruise giant has unearthed some “additional issues” with its 2,974-berth Carnival Splendor during ongoing repairs while it is having trouble sourcing some spare parts.
