Box Ships beat the liner market gloom to report a quarterly profit more than double the previous period.

Profit for the third quarter amounted to $5.12m or $0.32 per share up from the $2.3m for the initial period since the venture's April IPO. The earlier period was of 2½ months rather than a full quarter.
