A record-breaking Rederi AB TransAtlantic vessel has been called up by Swedish authorities for ice-busting duty in the Baltic Sea.
The 18,300-hp Tor Viking II has got the call from the Swedish Maritime Administration (SMA) for the job to begin soon.
The 2000-built anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel is part of a fleet of the Swede’s ships which are under contract to perform duties for the SMA during the first quarter of each year.
