Stolt-Nielsen has moved to distance itself from comments made by its founder that pirates should be ‘executed’ as part of the shipping industry’s ongoing “war” off Somalia.



Jacob Stolt-Nielsen advocates the sinking of pirate vessels and their criminal occupants despite the inevitable increased threat to crew members’ lives, according to an article in Norwegian daily Dagens Naeringsliv.
