Daewoo Mangalia shipyard manager Sebastian Depner has decisively won TradeWinds’ Maritime Photographer of the Year contest fighting off a strong late challenge by Stolt-Nielsen master Ole Borkenhagen.
A line up of seagulls on a mooring rope of a containership being readied for delivery (photo D) won Depner, a 31 years old senior assistant manager of the Romanian shipyard’s hull department almost 24% of the votes cast.
