Overseas ships may stop calling at Pakistan’s ports due to piles of waste draining into the sea, a minister has warned.
The rubbish is causing serious environmental issues, ports and shipping minister Hasil Khan Bizenjo said.
“Around 400 tonnes of wastes are thrown into the seawater on daily basis,” he added, according to the New International website.
“If the situation continues, one day foreign ships will avoid coming at the Pakistani ports."
