Mamidoil-Jetoil’s chairman Kyriakos Mamidakis committed suicide in his Athens home yesterday.

At the age of 84, Mamidakis was the leader of one of the leading fuel suppliers in the Balkans and the greater area.

Local police said he shot once towards the wall before turning the gun to himself.

His company Mamidoil-Jetoil has just filed for bankruptcy amid outstanding debts of EUR 314m ($349.5m)
