A Greek chemical tanker hijacked by pirates over half a year ago has been released after payment of a ransom, TradeWinds understands.
The 13,000-dwt Motivator will, however, require bunkers after being used in recent months as a pirate mothership in the Indian Ocean.
An unspecified ransom is said to have been dropped onboard the 2007-built vessel some time on Saturday meaning it was probably freed in the early hours of Sunday after pirates had counted the cash.
