Drunk students are alleged to have damaged a P&O ferry newbuilding in a rampage making headlines in the UK press.
About 200 students on a Dover to Calais ferry are said to have terrified other passengers with unruly behaviour including stripping off, dancing on tables, fighting and general loutishness.
The 47,000-gt Spirit of France (built 2012) at a cost of €180m ($235m) by STX Finnyards is reported to have been “trashed” although few details are given as to the extent of damage.
