Many of the more than 2,000 delegatesare eager to attend the presentations and panel discussions that will serve asthe centrepiece of Shipping 2014, a three-day extravaganza starting Monday.
Others seem equally excited about networkingand admit they are anxious to shake hands with headliners like Robert Bugbee, who will formally replace Teekay Corp chief executive Peter Evensen as the CMA’s ‘commodore’during a lavish (and likely comedic) coronation ceremony.
While the odds of meeting the ScorpioTankers president and other industry elites will be particularly high during Wednesday’sgala dinner there are a number of other opportunities for delegates to exchangebusiness cards and rub elbows with shipping royalty throughout the week.
