Stena Drilling has secured a charter for one of its deepwater drillships to work off the Gambia in West Africa later this year.
The Stena DrillMax (built 2007) will work on the giant Samo prospect for Australian oil and gas exploration company FAR Ltd.
“The Stena DrillMax was our rig of choice given it completed a highly successful, efficient and under budget drilling campaign for our Senegal joint venture in 2017,” said FAR managing director Cath Norman.
