Shell LNG bunker tanker heads for new home port

A second LNG bunker tanker newbuilding is en route to Europe as Shell prepares to fire up its operation in the Netherlands.

Data shows the 6,500-cbm LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV) Cardissa has left STX Offshore & Shipbuilding’s yard in South Korea. As TradeWinds went to press mid-week the vessel was positioned towards Southeast Asia.

The LNGBV is expected to head for the Gate LNG terminal in the Netherlands, which is to be its new home port.
