Two German traders have taken stakes in Hamburg broker Brouwer Shipping & Chartering.
Brouwer’s South African owner Imperial Holdings has sold 30% each to minerals supplier ThyssenKrupp MinEnergy and grain trader Alfred C Toepfer, a big bulker charterer.
The deal was described as a strategic alliance to strengthen cooperation between the groups.
The two new shareholders also get stakes in Brouwer subsidiary HMR Hansa Maritime Reederei for their undisclosed outlay.
