Kyriakos Mamidakis, one of Greece’s biggest oil retailers with interests in bunkering and shipmanagement, committed suicide in Athens last Sunday.
The 84-year-old’s death comes just a few weeks after he sought protection from creditors for his family’s flagship oil operation.
Mamidakis, a well-respected figure and major Greek fuel business player over the past decades, was found dead in his home with a single, fatal bullet wound to his head.
