Details of an official Italian government preliminary accident investigation report into the fire onboard the 26,904-gt ropax ferry Norman Atlantic (built 2009) in the Adriatic Sea has been released to key stakeholders.
Sources who have seen the report say the initial findings, which are not yet being made public, falls short of determining the initiating cause of the December 2014 blaze, which was to eventually claim nine lives and leave a further 19 still missing.
