The deal is part of the expansion of the MR fleet of the joint venture involving Sweden’s Stena Bulk and Denmark’s Weco Shipping, which will now total 55 units.
With the delivery of other new ships, including a quartet from Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), Stena Weco’s fleet will rise to 65 tankers, says Stena Bulk managing director Erik Haanell.
The fleet is a combination of tankers on short and medium-term charters and owned tonnage.
