Chinese sources confirm this week that the 402,000-dwt Shandong Da Ren (ex- Vale Malaysia, built 2013), chartered by Qingdao-based Shandong Shipping Alliance (SSA), called at Qingdao during the just-ended National Day holiday week, as TradeWinds reported was likely.
The Shandong Da Ren called with a part cargo, declaring a deadweight of 300,000 tonnes, technically satisfying the ban on bulkers of over 350,000 tonnes.
