German bank Berenberg has picked up another $460m package of loans from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in an effort to reel in Greek shipowners.
“Winning Greek clients” is the short reason why private German bank Berenberg says it has played a key role in the wind-down of the shipping loan portfolio of RBS.
Following the latest deal involving Japanese partners, Berenberg manages former RBS loans with a volume of some $1bn.
