A consortium selected to build Indonesia’s large $2bn Java-1 independent power plant project is in talks with a preferred shipyard to construct a required floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).
Informed sources say Belgian shipowner Exmar, which is working with Japanese traders Marubeni and Sojitz plus Indonesian state energy company Pertamina on the business, has been visiting shipyards in South Korea to price the FSRU.
