Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation has followed up its recent tanker order spree with a second round of seven newbuildings.
It has confirmed orders for seven ships – three aframaxes, two LR2s and a pair of smaller tankers worth a total of CNY 2.1bn ($323.4m).
The Hong Kong-listed shipowner said the ships will all be built by China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC) subsidiary Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI).
