Greek shipowners have secured period deals for clean tanker tonnage, with Tsakos Shipping & Trading, Dorian Hellas, Samos Steamship, Top Ships and Polys Haji-Ioannou all concluding charters.
Oil major Shell has fixed the 105,000-dwt Ohio (built 2009) from Dorian Hellas. The ship was chartered for a year, likely in excess of $15,000 per day.
For the past two years, the Ohio has been on charter to Shell at $22,000 per day.
