A US energy logistics firm unveiled plans to build a VLCC-capable dock in Corpus Christi at an industry conference last week.
Buckeye Partners' head of business development Ismael Hernandez said the company is looking to build a deepwater dock to its Texas Hub in Corpus Christi.
The dock currently has three deepwater docks with 45-feet (13 metres) draught. But the new dock would have a 52-feet draught for larger ships.
