Angolan oil company Sonangol has sold another medium range (MR) tanker at a low price.
The Daedong-built, 50,000-dwt Imbondeiro (built 1998) has gone to an undisclosed buyer for $5m.
This confirms the decline in tanker values during recent months, especially for older vessels.
VesselsValue estimates the ship is worth $7.9m.
In October last year the seven year older 40,000-dwt tanker Theresa Venus (built 1991) was sold for $4.7m
