Hoegh Autoliners has confirmed the sale of another of its veteran pure car and truck carriers (PCTC) for demolition.

The 6,000- car-equivalent-unit (ceu) Hoegh Triton (built 1988) will recycled at China’s Jiang Men City Zhong Xin Shipbreaking & Steel Co under the supervision of Grieg Green.

“This is the 17th car carrier we have sold for green recycling and we are pleased that Grieg Green will supply services to safeguard safe and environmentally friendly recycling of the vessel,” the shipowner said.
