Hornbeck Offshore Services called a halt to its major offshore support vessel (OSV) newbuild program as the remaining two vessels were cancelled, according to a securities filing.
The Louisiana-based company said that it "provided notice of termination of two vessel construction agreements to the shipyard that was constructing the last two (multipurpose support vessels) under OSV Newbuild Program #5."
It was not clear the progress on the vessel construction as calls to Hornbeck were not returned by presstime.
