Exmar said its, and the world's, first barge-based floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) is now on the water ahead of pending employment.
The FSRU, which was delivered at the end of 2017, left Nantong shipyward of Wison Offshore Marine and is en-route to Singapore for further commissioning work.
The unit will undergo modifications before beginning its long-term charter in mid-2018, Exmar said.
