Manufacturers of exhaust-gas scrubbing systems have seen a rise in enquiries ahead of the incoming restrictions on sulphur emissions, but the expected flood of demand has yet to kick in.
Don Gregory, director of the Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems Association (EGCSA), says the providers are seeing an uptick in enquiries.
But he says: “Most manufacturers are complaining that they only get dribs and drabs of orders so don’t get the fleet sales that would help to reduce costs.”
