Hawkins, who has been working for 25 years in Greece, told TradeWinds the company approached him about managing its expanding international practice.
"The idea is for a little more coordination," he added.
Greece was the only international office the company had outside the UK until it opened up in Singapore, Hong Kong and Monaco in the last five years.
"Singapore is very successful and we're making lots of progress in Hong Kong and Monaco, which are younger.
