One of shipping’s biggest bankruptcy casualties in the post-2008 recession has relaunched itself in more modest Tokyo offices suited to its scaled-down size.
Daiichi Chuo Kisen, which emerged from bankruptcy court administration in May this year under the new ownership of 17 of its former creditors, has moved out of its old premises — where it and its group companies occupied all floors — to just one floor of the Kokusai Mita building in Tokyo’s Minato-ku district.
