Tidewater announced today that Jeffrey Platt will leave his dual roles as chief executive and board director of the largest US offshore player by fleet size.
Tidewater's board appointed current director Larry Rigdon as its interim chief executive effective immediately.
Platt, who has spent 21 years at Tidewater with the last five in the CEO role, said it was an appropriate time to transition leadership given the company's emergence from a voluntary bankruptcy filing at the end of July.
